Overview
Likongwe & Co have represented clients in all levels of courts in Malawi from the Magistrates’ Courts, the Industrial Relations Court, the High Court, the High Court (Commercial Division) and the Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal on all types of cases. The cases have involved a wide range of areas including employment matters, land matters, contracts, debts, commercial and cross-border disputes, road accident claims, personal injury claims, insurance claims, judicial review of Government actions, defamation, disputes on deceased estates, etc. We have also handled private prosecutions of employees who have committed crimes against our corporate clients. We are capable of ably handling any litigation in Malawi.
We believe litigation is the last resort. Prior to litigation, we offer our clients practical, commercially focused legal advice that does not look at only short-term gains but also long-term gains for our clients in line with their organizational strategy.
